The Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council in collaboration with Yoga in Daily Life USA and the International Day of Yoga Committee at the United Nations is hosting an on-line summit as part of the UN Water Conference 2023 and in honor of the United Nations decade dedicated to water. All are welcome to join!

For almost 30 years, Vishwaguruji has been planting symbolic World Peace Trees around the world, giving people hope and inspiration for World Peace. The Banyan tree that he has planted on India's 70th Republic Day in OM Ashram, has a special significance.

In 2010, the first two Carinthian Peace Trees of Vishwaguruji Swami Maheshwarananda, founder of Yoga in Daily Life, were planted in Klagenfurt and Villach, to mark the occasion of 35 years of Yoga in Daily Life in Carinthia. On 7 October 2017, in the presence of representatives of the city of Villach, another living tree, in the Walther von der Vogelweide Park, became a Peace Tree in the hope of inspiring peace on Earth.

Sept. 18, 2016

Together with the Alexandria city mayor Allison Silberberg, and former mayor Bill Euille, Vishwaguruji Maheshwarananda planted a red cedar Peace Tree in Four Mile Run Park to symbolize the importance of both peace and preservation of nature.

On 10th September Swamiji was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Péter Földesi, Rector of Széchenyi István University, Győr, Hungary to plant the 105th tree, dedicated to world peace, in front of the University’s Library. 

Saturday 5th of July 2014 was a day dedicated to peace and inter-religious tolerance in the small but beautiful historic towns of Balatonfüred and Paloznak, on the shore of Lake Balaton, Hungary.
